Middle School Family Advocates
On-site support for Stamford Public Schools (SPS) middle school students navigating social/emotional challenges
From all of us at Domus, thank you, donors, partners, friends, and neighbors for your invaluable support in another transformational year for our youth and their families. As we strive to grow our impact, we look forward to raising more awareness, building new partnerships, and securing more critical funding. It’s up to us to continue delivering for the folks in our shared communities who need our support now more than ever.
Please take a moment to review our 23-24 Impact Report. Together, we can help create a brighter future for all of us in Stamford and beyond.
Peace,

Together, we create opportunities to produce positive, impactful change for those we serve.
Domus has long had a culture of providing extensive, best-in-class training to staff members to ensure they are equipped with the skills and competencies they need to work with and support young people facing adversity. A few training models Domus staff members are trained in include:
Thoughts, Emotions, and Behaviors (TEB) is a skills-based approach rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Developed by Dr. Luana Marques and the Community Psychiatry Program for Research in Implementation and Dissemination of Evidence-Based (PRIDE) Treatments, TEB was created in partnership with Harvard and Massachusetts General Hospital and provides youth development professionals with the skills they need to help young people learn emotion regulation, flexible thinking, and improved decision making.
The Sanctuary Model is an organizational-wide framework for building a culture of trauma responsiveness. Sanctuary promotes safety and healing from adversity (trauma) by building a trauma-responsive community; it is an ongoing process engaged in by every member of the organization’s team.
The Positive Youth Development approach focuses on a young person’s strengths and provides them with opportunities to build positive relationships and leadership skills. The Circle of Courage PYD framework integrates the wisdom of Indigenous Native philosophies of child rearing with research in resilience science and positive youth development.
At Domus, we are dedicated to empowering young people by providing them with the support and opportunities they need to thrive. Your generosity plays a critical role in helping us continue this important work. Please consider making a donation.
Stay connected with our journey and see the difference your support makes by following us on our social media platforms. There, we share updates on our programs, celebrate our participants’ achievements, and highlight the dedication of our incredible staff.
Thank you for being a vital part of the Domus family.
